In 2011, the Demcor Inc. pallet manufacturing and recycling business was founded in Morristown, TN. With a commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency, the company quickly established itself as a leader in the pallet industry. 2016

EXPANSION AND RELOCATION

In a strategic move towards expansion and enhancing operational efficiency, Demcor Inc. acquired a new plant and relocated its operations to Newport, TN. This transition marks an exciting chapter in the company's journey, poised to increase growth and opportunities for both Demcor Inc. and the local community.

2021

A NEW ERA IN NEWPORT, TN

In a transformative move, Demcor Inc. acquired a second plant in Newport, TN, signaling a significant milestone in the company's growth strategy. This strategic decision involves dividing the new pallet business and the recycled operations into two distinct facilities.

2023

INCREASING EFFICIENCY AND ACQUIRING GROWTH

Demcor Transport Corp emerged as a strategic addition to Demcor Inc.'s portfolio to optimize its transportation operations and ensure seamless support for the dynamic activities of its pallet manufacturing and recycling facilities. This new venture was conceived to enhance efficiency, streamline logistics, and fortify the interconnectivity of Demcor Inc.'s diverse business segments.

‍In the same year, Demcor bought Lakeway Pallet. The acquisition of the Lakeway Pallet business not only bolstered Demcor Inc.'s market presence but also brought a wealth of expertise and a longstanding reputation for quality and reliability. By maintaining separate facilities for pallet manufacturing and recycling operations, Demcor Inc. aims to streamline its processes, enhance efficiency, and cater to the unique demands of its diverse customer base.

2023

Demcor Inc. Completes Acquisition of Lakeway Pallets

Newport, Cocke County, Tennessee

Demcor Inc., a full-service pallet manufacturer and recycling corporation owned and operated by Beverly and Ismail Menguc, located at 196 Highway 25 E, Newport, Tennessee purchased Lakeway Pallets, a neighboring pallet company also operating in Newport, Tennessee whose excellent reputation and legacy lasted 53 years in Cocke County. The acquisition by Demcor Inc. was completed on August 10, 2023.

The President Ismail Menguc says ‘from its founding days, Demcor Inc. remains committed to environmental conservation efforts through sustainable management of lumber resources. Fifty percent of the businesses’ activity consists of recycling used pallets; the other half of the operation produces new pallets from new lumber. Greater than eight million pounds of pallets will be recycled and repurposed for other use annually, thereby freeing local landfills while reducing the need to cut down as many trees. Demcor Inc. will always do its part to protect the planet as our timber and wood resources are precious to mankind going forward.’

Demcor Inc. Expands Operations with Acquisition of Bevins Lumber in Parrottsville, Tennessee

In a strategic move aimed at bolstering its vertical integration strategy, Demcor Inc., a leading pallet manufacturer based in Newport, Tennessee, recently acquired the sawmill operations of Bevins Lumber LLC in Parrottsville, Tennessee.

Established in 1961 by Mr. Dewey Phillips, the sawmill has been a prominent fixture in the region, eventually incorporating as Phillips Lumber in 1985 under the leadership of Mr. Darryl Phillips. After changing hands multiple times, Bevins Lumber LLC took ownership in 2020 before being acquired by Demcor Inc. on December 21, 2023.

This acquisition aligns with Demcor Inc.'s commitment to minimizing supply chain risks, especially in the wake of lessons learned from the challenges posed by COVID-19. With a weekly lumber consumption exceeding 40,000 board feet, the integration of the sawmill allows Demcor Inc. to enhance its independence and deliver greater value to its customers.
